Hello Again,

I have a Mail List

MusicalWords.txt

and I know the other mail list I set for the LAN works, but, how do I set up the automation with SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE?

Thanks again,
JB

My Email List works when I send via smptsend3, however, how to I set the message on the Cmndline for the Robot in the Task Scheduler. So, far this is what I have:

Cmdline agents\smtpsend3 -dw --ln 100 -to 10 -s %Server% -u %Login% -pop %Password% -o temp\%TempFile%.smtp

Schedule
Mail Robot

What other commands do I need on the Cmndline to set the Mail Robot features to automate the lists so there is an Subscribe, Unsubscribe and autmatic forwarding to all members on the list when anyone on the list Replys to the list?

Do I need to add something like:

agents\robot.bat

Try this as Cmdline:
agents\Erobot.exe -i "%MailFileName%" -c agents\subscribe.cfg -o temp\%TempFile%.robot

Does the Robot, as in robot@dolfina.org need to be added to Users?

Can, I re-use the same CmdLine for the robot and will the SUBSCRIBE LIST check the mail/lists for the LIST name for one which the member SUBSCRIBES?

Thanks Again,

Yes, the task name must match the name of user you want to automate.

Hello Again,

Ok, we have a mailist:

general.txt

We can send that and it sends out ok.

Then, we have a user:

general

We can send an email to general@dolfina.org and it will send out to everyone on that list.

So, do I set the Task:

General

Cmdline:

agents\Erobot.exe -i "%MailFileName%" -c agents\subscribe.cfg -o temp\%TempFile%.robot

Schedule:
00:00

Mode:

MailBot

Is this correct?

Thanks,
JB

In this case you should also edit the files agents\subscribe.pat, unsubscribe.pat and others *.pat (there used robot@ address by default).

Would it be easier to add Robot as an Alias for General?

Thanks again,

I have robot@dolfina.org to subscribe to list@dolfina.org

When I send an email to robot@dolfina.org using subscribe list, the email is sent to all of the email list members. When I check the list.txt, there is not an added member to the list.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again,
JB

In your current settings: robot@ — is a MailRobot task in the Scheduler for processing only subscribe/unsubscribe requests from users. list@ — is a Mail list in the MailServer settings, post mail to list@ to send message to all subscribers.
Right?
In this case you should NOT use Alias robot@ -> list@. In the previous messages above we've discussed different configuration.
